Episode #17: John Hyatt: Perspectives from a New Orleans Customs Broker

For our 17th Episode, we turned the tables from exporting to importing, where we had a delightful chat with long-time customs broker professional, John T. Hyatt of C.H. Powell & Co. An expert on the history of the Port of New Orleans, John shares marvelous stories about the banana and fruit business, as well as other commodities that New Orleans is known for, including sugar and coffee.

His longtime involvement in public speaking on subjects such as DR-CAFTA informed a really good discussion about trade agreements and other subjects.
