We are excited to welcome Mark Klein, Regional Director of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), as our guest for Episode #18. Mark provides great clarity about what EXIM is and what it does. I had a great time chatting with Mark as he shared a number of their success stories, which he ‘ties’ together with everything from shoe laces to craft beers. You can listen to the episode here: https://export-stories-podcast.simplecast.com/episodes/stories-from-mark-klein-and-the-exim-bank And for more information about EXIM, you can check out their website here: http://www.exim.gov/ or contact Stephen P. Maroon at: [email protected] We invite you to listen and then join a conversation about this episode. You can ask questions or post comments below. We’re also on Twitter and Facebook. Thank you for listening!

For our 17th Episode, we turned the tables from exporting to importing, where we had a delightful chat with long-time customs broker professional, John T. Hyatt of C.H. Powell & Co. An expert on the history of the Port of New Orleans, John shares marvelous stories about the banana and fruit business, as well as other commodities that New Orleans is known for, including sugar and coffee. His longtime involvement in public speaking on subjects such as DR-CAFTA informed a really good discussion about trade agreements and other subjects. You can listen to the episode here: https://export-stories-podcast.simplecast.com/episodes/john-hyatt-perspectives-from-a-customs-broker We invite you to listen, and then join a conversation about this episode and exporting in general. This is an important time for the export community to share what is happening in our sectors and how each of us is dealing with one of the most consequential health and economic events of our lifetime. Please post your comments below. We’re also on Twitter! Thank you for joining us! |
